How Do You Use an Air Fryer?

Fried food is delicious. While not everyone enjoys that decadent flavor, many people love to partake of fried food. The problem with fried food is that there can be severe health consequences to eating too much of it. For this reason, many people have put fried food on their list of items to be rationed appropriately.

Thankfully, there are now machines that can produce food that has the texture and taste of fried, while not relying on the huge amounts of oil that fried food requires. Air fryers will instead use air waves to make those tasty crunchy golden treats of deliciousness. Finally, air is good for something! Well, aside from breathing. Proper use of an air fryer can completely change the way some people cook.

Tips for Using an Air Fryer

An air fryer is like any other piece of equipment. If you don’t use it correctly, you’re not going to get the results that you are hoping to get. Rather than just set up and start using one, consider the following tips to ensure optimal air frying!

  • Space Things Properly - An air fryer needs air to work. This is certainly an obvious statement. If you overstuff an air fryer, then the food isn’t going to cook properly. Give enough room for the air to properly circulate and strike all surfaces of the food.
  • Dash of Oil - Instead of drowning the food in oil, try using a cooking spray or a dash of oil instead. This will give an even crispy finish and it will reduce calories that don’t need to be consumed.
  • Avoid Moisture - For anything marinated or dripping with liquid, they need to be dried beforehand. Pat them off using some paper towels. A marinade can be difficult.
  • Shake If Needed - Some food may not cook evenly, so rotating them every 7 minutes or so can be useful.
