Cleaning Hacks That Really Work

That dreaded task is here again. Cleaning! It never stops. You clean today and you know you’ll need to clean again tomorrow. Sometimes it doesn’t even matter how hard or how often you clean. There are always stains that just make your home look dirty and uncared for. So, what’s the point of cleaning in the first place if it’s just going to get dirty either way? Well, that’s before you figured out these hacks to keep things sparkling all the time!

Kettle

Is your kettle looking a little sad with the limescale build up?

  1. Coca Cola to the rescue!  
  2. Pour in a can of Coca Cola. 
  3. Boil your kettle. 
  4. Rinse with water and soap. 

It’s in pristine condition again. 

Frying Pan

Is your frying pan constantly oily?

  1. Cut a slice of lemon. 
  2. Generously add salt on the lemon. 
  3. Use your lemon like a sponge and scrub your frying pan. 
  4. Wipe away. 
  5. Wash with a sponge, soap, and water. 

Good as new! 

Toilet

Have you got stains all around your toilet bowl, and it just won’t shift?

  1. Pepsi is your new Superman!
  2. Pour in a can of Pepsi, make sure to get it all around the bowl. 
  3. Get your toilet brush and scrub the bowl. 
  4. Flush.

Wrench

Does your wrench look like it sunk to the bottom of the ocean and lived there for years with all the rust build up?

  1. Enter Coca Cola! 
  2. Put your wrench into a bowl or a cup. 
  3. Pour in a can of Coca Cola.
  4. Let in sit for a few minutes. 
  5. Scrub your wrench with a scouring sponge and water. 

Voila, the rust is gone. 

Pan

Did you accidentally burn food in the bottom of your pan?

No worries you don’t need to buy a new one. 

  1. Generously put dish soap in your pan. 
  2. Add some water. 
  3. Add a dryer sheet. 
  4. Let it sit for an hour. 
  5. Pour everything out. 
  6. Wash your pan with water, soap and a sponge. 

Pan saved! 

Scribbles on the wall

Have the kids been let loose with crayons and made the wall their canvas?

  1. Spray some WD40 on the traumatized wall. 
  2. Wipe with a cloth. 

Watch the canvas revert to normal. 

Silver

Whether it’s your silver jewelry or your silverware, somehow they get dirty and are difficult to clean.

  2. Add a ball of aluminum foil. 
  3. Add a teaspoon of baking soda. 
  4. Dip your silver in for a few seconds.
